The BLS

The Barnes Literary Society is a charity that offers its 370 members monthly literary events from September to May.

It currently costs £30 to join and guests are welcome for a fee of £10 per event. All of our events take place in St Mary’s Church, Barnes.

Grants

We offer small grants to organisations in Richmond Upon Thames for initiatives that provide opportunities for the appreciation of literature or the promotion of literacy.

Recent grants have been given to primary schools and charities promoting literature and literacy to local adults and children.

COME TO OUR SUMMER PARTY

Our summer party is taking place on Tuesday 2nd June, at St Mary's Church, 6.30 - 8.00pm.

Drinks and refreshments from 6.30 to 7.30pm. And then we are delighted that our patron, Gyles Brandreth, has agreed to entertain us from 7.30 to 8pm.
